Permalink is one of the important factors on search engine optimization. If you want your blog to rank on a specific keyword, then you should put your target keywords as a part of your blog’s permalink.
If you are just starting to blog, or your blog is new and your blog is using the default wordpress (http://www.yourblog.com/?p=123) permalink page id system.. you have to change its permalink structure for better seo.
